Pediatric cancer patients and their families are invited to spend time with a local artist who will be sharing his/her talent. Each month Sofia’s Hope in conjunction with ClayWorld will expose these children to clay art in the hopes it will inspire creativity and help each child focus on something beautiful rather than on the ugliness of being ill and undergoing treatment.
While this time cannot be considered art therapy, we believe the time these children spend with each artist eases their suffering if even for a little while. For forty-five minutes to an hour, they can almost forget where they are and why they are there.

The program is currently being offered virtually at Baptist Health Miami Cancer Institute and Nicklaus Children's Hospital. With art kits delivered monthly to UM/Holtz Children's Hospital, UM/alex's place, , Joe DiMaggio Children's Hospital, The Salah Foundation Children's Hospital at Broward Health and Palm Beach Children's Hospital at St. Mary's with link to YouTube video showing the kids how to make bring the clay to life.

The team at R2 Unified Technologies, lead by owner, Jamie Doherty, has been committed to Sofia's Hope since 2014.
